Table of Contents Essential Service Intervals for the 2026 Ford Maverick Comprehensive Maintenance Schedules for the Ford Explorer Preserving Performance and Towing Capability Through Specialized Care Professional Diagnostics and Addressing Common Reliability Concerns Convenient Care with Ford Mobile Service and Certified Repairs Quick Answers for Local Ford Service and Ownership Essential Service Intervals for the 2026 Ford Maverick The 2026 Ford Maverick relies on an Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor to tell you exactly when an oil change is necessary, typically falling between 7,500 and 10,000 miles or every 12 months. However, for those using their Maverick for frequent towing or heavy hauling on the rolling hills around Calcutta, our technicians often recommend a more frequent 5,000-mile interval for oil and filter swaps. This "severe duty" approach helps protect engine components from the extra heat and stress generated during high-load tasks. Beyond the engine, the Maverick requires specific attention at key milestones to maintain its performance and fuel efficiency. At every 7,500-mile interval, your service should include a tire rotation, a comprehensive brake inspection, and a multi-point check of all fluid levels. As the odometer climbs, the requirements become more specialized: 20,000 Miles: Replace the cabin air filter to ensure the HVAC system remains efficient and the air inside the cabin stays clean. 30,000 Miles: This is a critical milestone where we replace the engine air filter and perform a full brake fluid flush to prevent moisture contamination. 100,000 Miles: Both the 2.5L I4 hybrid and the 2.0L I4 EcoBoost engines require new spark plugs and an engine coolant flush at this stage to prevent internal corrosion. To help manage these costs, we encourage owners to check our monthly service specials for special offers on routine items. Additionally, Maverick Hybrid owners should pay close attention to their 12V and high-voltage systems; if you notice sluggish starts, our team can provide a detailed battery service and health check. While our focus is on keeping your current vehicle running perfectly, our finance department is always available to discuss service financing for larger, unexpected repairs. Comprehensive Maintenance Schedules for the Ford Explorer The Ford Explorer is a staple for families who need seven-passenger seating and robust 4WD capability. To keep the 2.3L I4 or 3.3L V6 engines running smoothly, Ford recommends oil changes every 7,500 to 10,000 miles, paired with tire rotations every 5,000 miles. Because the Explorer often serves as a primary family hauler, keeping the tires rotated frequently is essential for even tread wear and maintaining the precise handling needed for wet or snowy conditions. Major service milestones for the Explorer often involve deep-system inspections to ensure the 10-speed automatic transmission and 4WD components are functioning correctly. At 30,000 miles, technicians look closely at the suspension and steering linkages, which can take extra abuse if you are frequently navigating the riverfront terrain in East Liverpool. We also recommend checking the panoramic fixed-glass roof seals during these visits to ensure no debris has compromised the drainage tracks or weather stripping. For local businesses that rely on the Explorer platform, such as those utilizing the Utility Police Interceptor or those browsing our new work truck and utility inventory, staying on top of the transmission fluid and filter replacement at 150,000 miles is vital. If you are considering a new model for your fleet or family, you can schedule a test drive to experience the latest updates, or view our current truck and SUV inventory to see how the newest maintenance tech, like BlueCruise 1.4, is integrated into the ownership experience. Preserving Performance and Towing Capability Through Specialized Care Towing puts unique demands on a vehicle’s cooling and braking systems. The 2026 Ford Maverick, when equipped with the available 4K Tow Package, can pull up to 4,000 pounds, but reaching that limit consistently requires diligent maintenance. We recommend a quick inspection of the trailer hitch and wiring harness before every trip to ensure reliable connections. If you are looking to spec a vehicle specifically for these tasks, you can start a new vehicle custom order to ensure you have the heavy-duty radiator and transmission cooler required for local hauling. For the Ford Explorer, the 5,000-pound towing capacity means the brake pads and rotors may wear faster than on a vehicle used strictly for commuting. During your routine service, our technicians measure pad thickness and check for rotor warping, which can cause vibrations during downhill braking. Using genuine Ford parts for these replacements ensures that the friction material matches the original engineering specifications for stopping power and heat dissipation. If your current vehicle is starting to struggle with your towing needs, it might be time to look at our current truck inventory for a model with higher capacities. We frequently offer new vehicle service and ownership specials that can help you transition into a vehicle better suited for your lifestyle while ensuring your current Ford stays in top shape until you are ready for a change. Professional Diagnostics and Addressing Common Reliability Concerns The 2026 Ford Maverick has benefited from several software refinements to address early concerns with hybrid battery logic and transmission hesitation. Our diagnostic equipment can quickly identify if your vehicle requires a module update or if a physical component needs attention. This proactive approach helps maintain the reliability expected from the Ford lineup. Tire health is another area where professional oversight makes a difference. The mixed terrain around Chester, featuring riverfront bluffs and wooded hills, can be tough on rubber. Using our online tire finder allows you to select replacements that are specifically rated for the weight and performance characteristics of your Maverick or Explorer. We also track all active recalls, such as the recent sensor replacements for the Maverick's instrument panel or air bag systems, and perform these repairs at no cost to the owner. For those managing a fleet of Transit work vans or other commercial vehicles, we provide specialized diagnostics to minimize downtime. If a vehicle's repair costs begin to outweigh its utility, we can help you get a KBB Instant Cash Offer to facilitate an upgrade to a more reliable model. Our goal is to provide honest communication about your vehicle's health so you can make informed decisions about its care. Quick Answers for Local Ford Service and Ownership Q: Does the Ford Explorer offer a mobile service option for routine maintenance? Yes, we provide mobile service for the Ford Explorer that covers common needs like oil changes, battery replacements, and certain recall software updates. This allows you to have your vehicle serviced at your home or workplace, saving you a trip to the dealership. Q: How often should I replace the engine air filter on my 2026 Ford Maverick? Ford recommends replacing the engine air filter every 30,000 miles or 36 months. However, if you frequently drive on gravel or dusty roads, we suggest inspecting the filter every 15,000 miles, as a clogged filter can negatively impact your fuel economy and engine performance. Q: Is the maintenance schedule different for the Maverick Hybrid compared to the EcoBoost? The core intervals for oil changes and tire rotations are the same, but the Hybrid requires specialized inspections of the high-voltage battery cooling system and regenerative braking components. The Hybrid also benefits from less frequent brake pad wear due to the regenerative braking system. Q: What should I do if my Ford Maverick is part of a recent safety recall? You should contact our service team immediately to verify your VIN and schedule a free repair. Most recalls, such as those for air bag sensors or instrument panel covers, can be completed in a single visit, and we can often provide a loaner vehicle or use our pick-up and delivery service. Q: How can I find the exact maintenance schedule for my specific Ford model? You can access your digital owner’s manual through the Ford website or the FordPass app, which provides a tailored schedule based on your VIN. Our service advisors are also happy to print out a personalized maintenance roadmap for you during your next visit.
